Additional Hygiene & Safety Measures - Sports & Activity Courses

Before you arrive

Pre-book
Anyone wishing to send their child on our holiday courses must book a place in advance by completing an application form. Children who have not been pre-booked before a course start date will not be permitted to attend.

Complete our pre-screening questionnaire
To ensure the safety of the school community during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are asking everyone intending to enter the campus to complete a digital pre-screening questionnaire before arrival. In line with regulations, the data collected will be stored, securely and confidentially, for a maximum of 21 days and then permanently destroyed. The information may be shared with third parties where it is deemed necessary. You will receive a link to a Course Guide in the confirmation email you receive upon booking, with a link to complete our pre-screening questionnaire. We ask that parents/guardians complete this questionnaire on behalf of their child within 5 days of their child's course start date.

If you or anyone else in your household has Covid-19 symptoms or a confirmed case of Covid-19
If you/your child or anyone else in your household is displaying COVID-19 symptoms or has a confirmed case of Covid-19 we ask that you/your child do not come on-site for 10 days from the last day that you have symptoms or the date the case is confirmed. In this instance, please contact us by email at enterprises@millfieldschool.com to cancel your booking. You can see the current list of symptoms at nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms

If you/household members have recently returned to the UK from another country
If you/your child or anyone from your household has recently returned to the UK from a country where the Government currently asks for self-isolation on returning to the UK, you will not be permitted to use our facilities until your self-isolation period is over. Please check the current guidance on gov.uk

Changes and updates
We will constantly be monitoring the situation and Government guidelines and may make changes to our Sports & Activity courses and how we operate based on this. We will contact the parent/guardian of any child booked by email with any updates.

On Arrival

Parking
Full details on where to park will be given prior to the course start date, please ensure you only park in designated parking areas.

Registration point
Most courses are operating under drop and go procedures, where parents/guardians are asked to remain in their car. Staff will be in the car parks ready to greet the children.

Signage
There will be signs on-site informing guests of safety measures in place. Please ensure you adhere to any guidance.

On-Site Social Distancing Measures

No spectators
We are currently not allowing spectators for our sports & activity courses.

Staggered start/finish times
Some courses are subject to staggered start/finish times. Full details are provided in the Course Guide which parents/guardians receive after submitting a booking for a course. If any details/procedures change after a booking has been submitted, parents/guardians will be contacted by email with any updates.

Social distancing
Children may be allocated to specific groups on their sports & activity courses, dependent on total course numbers. Although there may be other groups doing the same course, children will be asked to stay within their allocated group.

On-Site Hygiene Measures

Hygiene
We ask that all children uphold the highest possible hygiene standards. Whether it be when sneezing or coughing, through regular hand washing or the frequent application of hand sanitiser. Hand sanitiser will be available for children to use if required.

Face coverings
It is advised that children aged 11 and over must wear a face covering when entering and moving around the site, unless medically exempt. However, as this is no longer a legal requirement, this is not compulsory.

Enhanced cleaning
Enhanced cleaning will take place with a focus on shared facilities.
