Course Guide - Boys Intermediate

Participants will be sorted into groups based on age and/or skill level on arrival. This course will focus on technical skills development, positional knowledge and tactical awareness. Course led by coaches with domestic or international expertise.

Tuesday 16^th August – Friday 19^th August

The course is taking place at Millfield Prep in Glastonbury (BA6 8LD).
 

Non-Residential Participants:

Please drive through the Martins Lane Vehicle gate to the drop off point by the roundabout at the bottom of the campus (this will be signposted) at 10.00am.

All participants should be collected at the same point each day at 4.00pm.

Late arrivals should inform Millfield Enterprises on 01458 444 320

Residential Participants:

Please drive through the Martins Lane Vehicle gate to the drop off point by the roundabout at the bottom of the campus (this will be signposted) at 9.30am.

All participants should be collected at the same point on Friday at 4.00pm.

Late arrivals should inform Millfield Enterprises on 01458 444 320

All participants:

• Hockey stick
• Hockey face shield where possible
• Shin guards
• Astro boots / trainers
• Waterproof jacket
• Sunscreen
• Refillable water bottle

Residential participants must also bring:

• Spare clothes for the week
• Nightwear
• Toiletries
• Towels

Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly named.

Please make sure participants do not bring any items of particular value.

The Millfield Enterprises office is open Mondays to Fridays from 9am-5pm (excluding Bank Holidays). 

First aid cover is available throughout the course and minor analgesics (paracetamol), throat lozenges and cough linctus may be dispensed. If you would like to object to this treatment please email enterprises@millfieldschool.com. For any treatment that cannot be administered on-site, parents/guardians are responsible for collecting their child and making further arrangements with a local surgery or hospital if required, unless the need for treatment is considered to be a medical emergency. 

If your child brings any medication onto the course, please make sure it is named and handed to the course coaches as soon as you arrive - you must also inform Millfield Enterprises of this by e-mail to enterprises@millfieldschool.com if you have not done so already on the application form. 

Millfield has a strict no-smoking, no-vaping and no-alcohol policy on all of its campuses and guests are requested to respect this policy. 

We regret that we are unable to allow dogs on any of our campuses for health and hygiene reasons.

Lost property will be handed to the Millfield Enterprises office at the end of the course.

First names, photographs or images (including video recordings) may be taken and used online and/or in print for use in promotional material (such as adverts and brochures), on our websites or on social media. 

On occasion, these may be used for press and media purposes, or for educational purposes as part of the curriculum, or extra-curricular activities. 

We may seek specific consent from Parents or Legal Guardians before using a photograph or video recording where we consider that the use is more privacy intrusive. 

Where the student is of sufficient maturity (usually when aged 12 years or older) we may seek the student's specific prior consent (which may be obtained verbally) in addition to or instead of the Parents' or Legal Guardian's consent. 

Objections will be respected, please make these in writing to media@millfieldenterprises.com no later than 72 hours before the course start date.

Visitors to Millfield School are respectfully advised that all personal property including sports equipment, clothing and money remains the sole responsibility of the individual. Millfield School will not be liable for any claim or expense arising directly or indirectly as a result of any loss, theft or damage to the personal belongings of any visitor from anywhere on the school premises, including the adjoining car parks, however arising. The organisers and staff of these courses are under no liability whatsoever in respect of personal injury which a participant may sustain during the daily programme.
