Terms & Conditions - The Spin Academy

Bookings and Course Structure

Membership runs from 24th September 2023 – 10th March 2024.

A non-refundable deposit of £900 per child is to be paid on booking to secure membership. The booking deadline is 14th August 2023. The remaining balance of £900 can be paid upfront on booking or in monthly instalments of £225 per month from September 2023 – February 2024. Payment will be due on the 1st of each month. If a child’s membership is cancelled by the parent/guardian at any point after 14th August 2023 they will be liable to pay the remaining balance for the year’s membership. Memberships cancelled prior to 14th August 2023 will have any fees paid refunded, minus the deposit of £900.

Shortly after submitting a booking the parent/guardian will receive a confirmation email to the address listed on the booking form, please inform enterprises@millfieldschool.com if this email is not received. This email address will be used for further communication throughout the membership. Please inform us of any changes to email address after making a booking.

The above parent/guardian email address and primary contact telephone number will be the only email address and telephone number used for parental student development catch ups and correspondence made as part of the course, by Peter Such at offspin@petersuch1.plus.com

Millfield reserves the right to cancel the membership up to 7 days before the start date due to unforeseen circumstances or if numbers enrolled have not reached the minimum requirement. A complete refund of the fee will be given or an alternative academy will be offered.

The course may be cancelled at any time by Millfield if government restrictions are imposed which make it impossible to run the course. A complete refund of the membership fees will be given or a credit for a future academy offered.

In most cases, refunds will only be given in the event of the membership being cancelled by Millfield. The deposit is non-refundable in all other cases once paid. Requests for refunds for memberships that are cancelled by the parent/guardian cannot be guaranteed and will be dependent on the reason for cancellation – refunds are at the discretion of the Director of Holiday Courses and Events and will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

In some cases we are unfortunately unable to accept a child if we feel that we are unable to provide the care and attention that that child requires. We will discuss any of these cases with the child’s parent/guardian and if we are unable to provide a place we will issue a full refund of any fees paid.

Welfare

Millfield reserves the right to withdraw any participant’s membership for behaviour we deem to be detrimental to the smooth-running of the academy or which might interfere with the safety of any other participants.

Regulations made for the safety and comfort of participants must be observed.

Millfield cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss or damage to property or any injury sustained by participants.

Participants are strongly advised to take out accident/curtailment insurance. First aid cover is available throughout the coaching sessions and minor analgesics (paracetamol), throat lozenges and cough linctus may be dispensed. By agreeing to these terms you are giving consent for this treatment if required unless written objection is received in advance. Any further treatment required will be administered by a local surgery or hospital.

First names, photographs or images (including video recordings) may be taken and used online and/or in print for use in promotional material (such as adverts and brochures), on our websites or on social media. On occasion, these may be used for press and media purposes, or for educational purposes as part of the curriculum, or extra-curricular activities. We may seek specific consent from Parents or Legal Guardians before using a photograph or video recording where we consider that the use is more privacy intrusive. Where the student is of sufficient maturity (usually when aged 12 years or older) we may seek the student’s specific prior consent (which may be obtained verbally) in addition to or instead of the Parents’ or Legal Guardian’s consent. Objections will be respected - please make these in writing to media@millfieldenterprises.com before the booking deadline of 1st September 2023.

If children wish to take photographs and videos on personal devices during the coaching sessions, they must seek permission from staff and any other participants involved. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that their child is aware of this. Under no circumstances should any photos and videos be taken in any toilets or changing facilities.

The parent/guardian email address and primary contact telephone number provided on booking will be the only email address and telephone number used for parental student development catch ups and correspondence, by Peter Such at offspin@petersuch1.plus.com, if a student should make direct contact with Peter the response/subsequent correspondence will always be provided directly through the parent/guardian.
