Public Swimming Terms & Conditions

  • Millfield Pool operates an under 8 policy. No children under 8 years old can enter the water without an adult on a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children. Non swimmers must be accompanied 1 to 1. We ask that all children under 12 are accompanied by an adult whilst using the complex.
  • All attendees aged 11 and over must wear a face covering when entering and moving around the complex, unless medically exempt.
  • Millfield reserves the right to cancel public lane swimming sessions/family fun/family swimming at any time, and will endeavour to give notice of any cancellations as early as possible. Millfield will contact the Lead Booker email listed on the booking form to let attendees know of any cancellations, or any changes to hygiene and safety measures.
  • We have a number of additional hygiene and safety measures in place during the COVID-19 Pandemic, please ensure you read these before attending any of our public swimming sessions. They can be found here
  • Millfield and Millfield Prep are non-smoking campuses, therefore smoking is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of vaping devices. No alcohol is permitted on-site.
  • Millfield reserves the right to ask any participant or guest on campus to leave for behaviour we deem to be thoroughly unreasonable or which might interfere with the safety of any other participants, guests or staff.
  • Regulations made for the safety and comfort of attendees must be observed.
  • First names, photographs or images (including video recordings) may be taken and used online and/or in print for use in promotional material (such as adverts and brochures), on our websites and on social media. On occasion, these may be used for press and media purposes. We may seek specific consent from Parents or Legal Guardians before using a photograph or video recording where we consider that the use is more privacy intrusive. Where the participant is of sufficient maturity (usually when aged 12 years or older) we may seek the participant’s specific prior consent (which may be obtained verbally) in addition to or instead of the Parents’ or Legal Guardian’s consent. Objections will be respected – please make the lifeguard on duty aware of any objections you may have.
  • Millfield cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss or damage to property or any injury sustained by participants and guests.
  • First aid cover is available throughout the sessions. On arrival, please inform the lifeguards of any medical conditions which may affect you/other participants whilst in the pool. If you are unsure as to whether these medical conditions may affect your/others use of the pool, please contact Millfield Swimming Pool on 01458 444 519 prior to attendance of a session.
