Additional Hygiene & Safety Measures - Public Swimming
Before you arrive
Anyone wishing to attend our public swimming sessions must book a place in advance. Anyone who has not pre-booked will not be permitted to attend.
If you or anyone else in your household has Covid-19 symptoms or a confirmed case of Covid-19
If you or anyone else in your household is displaying COVID-19 symptoms or has a confirmed case of Covid-19 we ask that you do not come on-site for 14 days from the last day that you have symptoms/the case is confirmed. In this instance, please contact us by e-mail at email@example.com to cancel your booking. You can see the current list of symptoms at nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms
If you/household members have recently returned to the UK from another country
If you/your child or anyone from your household has recently returned to the UK from a country where the Government currently asks for self-isolation on returning to the UK, you will not be permitted to use our facilities until your self-isolation period is over. Please check the current guidance on gov.uk
Check our website
We will constantly be monitoring the situation and Government guidelines and may make changes to our public swimming sessions and how we operate based on this. Please check this page 24 hours prior to your booking for the most current guidance.
Please park in the swimming pool car park (BA16 0ST).
All guests must sign-in at the registration point in the swimming pool foyer. The Government are asking businesses to collect contact details from customers to help the NHS Test and Trace respond to any local outbreaks, therefore, anyone entering the site will be asked for these details.
There will be signs on-site informing guests of safety measures in place. Please ensure you adhere to any guidance.
On-Site Social Distancing Measures
Reduced numbers and no spectators
We have reduced the number of spaces on our public swimming sessions to adhere to social distancing/Government/Swim England guidelines. A maximum of five swimmers will be permitted in each lane. These numbers may change closer to the booking date if Government/Swim England guidelines allow. Unfortunately, spectators are not permitted at this time.
Please adhere to the one-way system we have in place. All guests must enter the pool at the front of the building, through the foyer, and exit through the back of the building into the car park.
Please keep at least 1m from all other users on-site, 2m if you can.
On-Site Hygiene Measures
We ask that all guests uphold the highest possible hygiene standards. Whether it be when sneezing or coughing, through regular hand washing or the frequent application of hand sanitizer. Hand sanitiser will be available at entry/exit points for guests to use, however, please bring your own with you for use around site.
All attendees aged 11 and over must wear a face covering when entering and moving around the complex, unless medically exempt.
Food and drink
We will not be offering any food or drink on-site. Non-alcoholic beverages and food can be brought on-site to consume during your booking, but please take all rubbish with you when you leave.
Please bring your own equipment (e.g. goggles and swim hat) to use whilst on site. Please do not share equipment with any other user.
Our changing facilities will be closed. Please ensure you/your child arrive ready to swim.
Enhanced cleaning will take place throughout the day, with a focus on shared facilities.
